What do I need to bring with me when registering my child?
You are required to bring the minimum 1st payment, a completed registration form, any volunteer forms you maybe interested in submitting, and your Childs MCP. The registration form has to be updated annually and the information sent to HockeyNL.
Is there a designated female change room?
Yes, for U13 age groups and above. Please see the weekly schedule and adhere to the assignments as it will be posted there.
Who do I contact if my child cannot make his/her practice or game?
Please contact your Childs' coach or director to let them know they will not be able to make their scheduled practice or game.
How do I apply to become a volunteer with S.M.H.A.?
Please submit a Volunteer Application and select what position you are interested in. These forms can be found under the FORMS Tab located at the top of the screen.
If I have a concern how do I address it?
Under the FORMS Tab there is a button called "Resolution Form". Please submit this form to the S.M.H.A. Executive and it will be addressed at our next scheduled meeting.
How can I find out when the General Meetings/S.M.H.A. Executive Meetings are being held?
Under the Executive Tab there is a list of the meetings that have been held to date and the next upcoming scheduled meeting. Please note, that sometimes the date may change and if this occurs it will be updated on the website.
I have photos I would like to submit to be published on S.M.H.A. Website. What is the procedure to do this?
You can e-mail [email protected] and submit the following information:
Name of Submitter & E-mail Address
Name of Individual(s)/Team
Event Summary - A short summary describing the photo
Photo to be e-mailed as an image file (i.e. jpeg, etc...)
Is there a cost associated with Rep Teams?
Yes. Cost associated with Rep Teams include but are not limited to; Registration for HockeyNL Provincial Tournament, Ice Time, etc...For the season cost associated with Rep Teams will be the responsibility of members on those teams. S.M.H.A. will not be absorbing the cost for registration for HockeyNL Provincials or Ice Time Fees associated with these teams. Teams can fundraise the required funds, solicit sponsors or have players cover the cost.

S.M.H.A. By-Laws are located under the Forms Tab under S.M.H.A. Forms.
What is the policy on fundraising?
No team or individual or group shall be permitted to raise funds for purposes or reasons associated with S.M.H.A without written consent from the Executive. Each Rep Team is permitted one (1) major fundraiser per season. The Manager of a team will be designated as one of the signing agent monies raiser for that team. The Treasurer of the Association will be designated as the other. All monies collected in a fundraiser will be handed to the Treasurer of the Association. The disbursement of the collected funds to the Rep Team will be subject to the approval of the Executive.
When is the Annual General Meeting held?
S.M.H.A. Annual General Meeting will be held at the end of the hockey season with 30 days notice given to its' members.
What is a Rep Team?
Rep Teams will be fielded in all age divisions above Novice and will compete as "A' (All-Star) or "B" (Developmental) divisional teams. If there are sufficient numbers, multiple Developmental Teams may exist in a division, however there can only be one All-Star Team. An All-Star Team must exist in a division before a Developmental Team can be established. There is a larger commitment to this team as it will travel more often and this cost will be split among all players traveling.
What are Interbranch games?
Interbranch games are games between teams from two different associations.
